
The (CSA) Crosswalk Safety Ambassador Program
The Crosswalk Safety Ambassador (School Crossing) is responsible for assisting children and pedestrians crossing streets at designated times and locations in accordance with the laws and traffic control guidelines pertaining to school crossing areas and pedestrian safety.
We are offering to train, coach and help build with only the best of candidates through our excellent training team. You will learn about the Highway Traffic Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Carraway guidelines.
Shifts are generally 90 minutes, nevertheless you must be prepared for all weather conditions. We provide full uniform (Jackets) and full equipment (Stop sign, safety vest and whistles).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist walking pedestrians across busy intersections ensuring alertness to the surroundings for the safety of all
Display & use a school crossing stop sign to make sure it is visible to vehicular traffic approaching from all directions
Must own and be proficient with smartphone technology and apps which we use company-wide to track daily time and attendance
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Experience in a customer-facing role
Volunteering with children and/or seniors
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The ability to endure extreme weather conditions
- The ability to hold a crossing stop sign (weighing approximately two pounds) in an upright position while extending the other arm parallel at 1-minute intervals
- Proficient visual and hearing ability to recognize traffic at a safe distance (approximately 300 feet)
